2014

My second Album produced in 2014 and named after a beautifully enchanting place I visited in Indonesia. I actually named my home in Mountmellick after it and also my Music Studio. Its meaning ‘Peaceful Place’. A bigger and I hope more accomplished project than Time Flies. I rearranged and covered Track 4- Red including some Hip Hop Drums etc. I also covered Track 7- Say Something. I had been trying to get Katrina to collaborate with me for quite some time. The result is her beautifully haunting voice on this piece – well worth the wait. I continue to try and get her to do another collaboration. Very pleased with the orchestration on this track inspired by my idols ‘The Blue Nile’. The remainder of the creations are yours truly. Interesting fact perhaps about Track 10- Jack’s Lullaby. Based on a Poem by Arlene which she wrote for our Son Gary. He used to get me to tell him bedtime stories and then wind the Music Box up to send him to sleep. Just as he drifted off to never never land and the Music Box promised to stop, and I started to tentatively leave the room it would click one more note and wake Gary and I would have to start all over again. Hence the Music Box in the Piece. It’s actually dedicated to our Grandson Jack but the Childs Voice on the track is his dad - Gary. So, Arlene wrote the Lyric I added the Chorus wrote the Music and performed the piece with Gary making an appearance at the start. I personally believe Track 6-Fireflies on this Album is the best thing I have ever written.
